Course Information
Course Level: A2 Waystage (elementary) and above
Group Size: 8 per class (maximum 10)
Minimum Course Length: 1 week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Lessons per week: 20 lessons
Surf Lessons per week: 10 hrs
Start Date: Every Monday (Except Spain public holidays)
Minimum Age: 16
Includes: Course material, surf equipment and insurance.

Our Spanish and surf course is in collaboration with Escuela de Surf Santander, where you’ll be guided by expert instructors with extensive experience in both teaching and competitive surfing. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer, each lesson is customised to match your skill level, ensuring you get the most out of your time on the waves.

About Santander Surf School
Founded by Juan Palazuelos in 1999, Santander Surf School has become a cornerstone of surf education in the region. Starting with its main location on Liencres Beach and expanding to Sardinero Beach in 2004, the school has grown while staying true to its roots.
Juan, a dedicated educator with a teaching degree, combined his passion for surfing with his love for teaching to create a unique learning environment. His commitment to quality instruction and fostering a close-knit community has remained at the heart of the school. Many of the instructors today are former students, reflecting the strong “family” ethos that defines the school.
Santander Surf School is proudly recognised by the Spanish Surfing Federation and the Cantabrian Surfing Federation, a testament to its high standards and commitment to excellence.

Learn by Doing
Say goodbye to traditional lectures and note-taking. Our teaching style is hands-on and immersive. Through dynamic activities like cooking, performing, and radio hosting, you’ll learn Spanish by actively engaging with the language – because we know that the best way to learn is by doing.
